Memo to:  Mr. James Post

                President, Voice of the Faithful

RE:  Archdiocese of Boston

I write in the hope of helping you to understand the circumstances in which you now find Voice of the Faithful.

There is no "centrist" position in Roman Catholicism.  One either declares fidelity to Her Teachings, Her Magisterium, Her Priests, Bishops, Pope -  or the act of omission of declaring such fidelity speaks for itself.

Your website states VOTF is  "inclusive" Catholicism.  The very statement is an oxymoron.  Jesus Christ's Church is inclusive to the Truth - and exclusive to those who reject His Truth.  Roman Catholicism is a fiat in which we freely submit our mortal minds and will to the acceptance that Jesus Christ defined the difference between what is right and what is wrong -  and we are either obedient or disobedient to Divine Law.

It is disingenuous and deceptive to declare that VOTF is "Catholic" and does not wish to change Divine Law.  You have selected dissident agents to act on your behalf , which have betrayed your motives.  Your website is filled with evidence that substantiates those motives and agents who are affiliated with anti-Catholic groups and missions.  There is directly from your website the Continental Congress planned in Philadelphia with Leonard Swidler - who is the author of a "Constitution of Laity" which VOTF plans to execute in our parishes. Anthony Massimini's misguided dissertation is appalling.  These are right on your website.   Fr. Doyle's statements are heretical. He said we must rid ourselves of the "magical" notion of the Sacraments and encouraged rupture of each parish from the "Diocese" to the wild applause of the audience.  Jan Leary, Andrea Johnson, Anthony Massimini, Larry Kessler, John Sheehan, Walter Cuenin, James Carroll, Thomas Groome, Anthony Pavodano, Michelle Dillon, Debra Haffner, Mary Calcaterra, Thomas Arens, Mary Jo Bane, Linda Pieczynski,  etc., are all affiliated agents of anti-Catholicism and are acting on your behalf.  By their statements and  actions - you declare your own mission. You may not disassociate yourself from the selection of such dissident agents or their actions.  Indeed, this is the very complaint you have against the Archbishop of Boston.

Further, the essence of your very existence, which we have documented, is to manipulate the media, to manipulate the feelings and emotions of the Roman Catholic Faithful so that they will stop contributing to its mission and ministries (taxation without representation-again directly from the website) and instead - contribute to yours, against the wishes of the Archbishop.  The power of those finances shall be used to implement your misguided agenda of a democratic church where democratic vote is taken against Divine Law - and elections of our priests, Bishops, Cardinals and Pope shall take its place, (Constitution of Laity).  This is schismatic.

You now have publicly threatened the Bishops and pastors who are acting in obedience to our Roman Catholic Divine Law, with civil and Canon Attorneys?  There is neither a civil nor Canon Law in which you find refuge and relief.  In any such action, you will find opposition that will be staggering, I assure you.  I implore you to abandon urging our priests and Bishops to go against the directives and counsel of their superiors, encouraging rupture between our priests and their Bishops.   The very action is anti-Catholic and again, perilously treading schismatic. Schism is the refusal of submission to the Roman Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him.

Instead, it would be wise to review and investigate the dissident agents acting on your behalf and sever yourself from them, their affiliations and missions.  Abandon your centrist position and declare you fidelity to the Teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.  Publicly surrender yourselves to the authority of the Archbishop of Boston, Bernard Cardinal Law.  Hand over the $389,000 to the Cardinal's Appeal and direct that any further donations to the Archbishop's authority.

Respectfully,

In Christ,

Carol M. McKinley2@Faithful-Voice.com
